Flourish Education are currently recruiting for a Year 1 Teacher to work on a part-time and long-term basis for a Primary School on the outskirts of Evesham. The successful applicant will need to have previous experience and understanding of the Key Stage 1 curriculum.

This is a long-term maternity cover post starting in May 2024. You will be working alongside the class teacher as part of a job share but there will be no planning involved.

Key Stage 1 experience is essential for this Year 1 Teacher role. Our client is looking for an experienced teacher but are willing to consider strong ECT’s. The successful candidate will have full planning and marking responsibilities.

The Year 1 Teacher’s role

• Deliver pre-planned lessons with engaging and creative methods and mark work for the class.
• Create a positive learning environment.
• Work alongside the teaching assistant
• Effectively manage the behaviour of pupils
• Experience of supporting children within Key Stage 1 (KS1)
• Committed to long term role
• DBS on the update service of issued within the last 12 months

Required skills and experience for the Year 1 Teacher role.

• Must have the relevant teacher status: QTS primary
• Ability to manage a classroom with excellent communication skills.
• Contact references from all employment in the last 24 months.
• Previous Supply Teacher experience not required.
