Flourish Education are working with a SEN School in South Birmingham who are recruiting for 2 SEN Teachers to work on a long-term/ temp to perm basis starting in September.

Our client provides excellent facilities across a variety of subjects to provide the best education for all students.  

 

These SEN Teacher roles are to start in September 2022 and will be teaching general subjects across key stage 3 and 4 to students with a range of different needs, the class sizes are around 8 students, and they will be supported with 2 teaching assistants.

 

Suitable candidates will adopt a confident but calm approach, the children will excel with someone who has a calm and nurturing nature.

 

These SEN Teaching positions are full time, to start in September due to the school expanding and taking on more students.

                                                                

To apply to this SEN Teaching role, you will need the following:

  • QTS ( NQT’s are encouraged to apply)
  • PGCE in Special Educational Needs
  • Experience working with children with SEN
  • Experience supporting children with Autism is desirable
  • Strong Behaviour Management
  • A passion for excelling pupil progress

 

Responsibilities as a SEN Teacher 

  • Encourage and support child’s development and improve their access to the curriculum.
  • To effectively support and manage the behaviour and routines of the pupils.
  • Be able to support and work with pupils both in a full class and small group environment.
  • Plan engaging and informative lessons to keep children engaged
  • Whole class teaching responsibilities, planning, marking and assessing
