Flourish Education are working to recruit a Nursery Manager for a private day nursery based near Hagley in Worcestershire. The nursery has grown in popularity over a number of years and was graded as ‘Good’ in its most recent OFSTED inspection.

The role has a flexible start date but the nursery is looking to appoint someone to start as soon as possible. It is on a full time basis and would require someone with extensive experience of working in a nursery environment and a minimum Level 3 qualification in childcare. The ideal candidate would hold or be working towards a Foundation Degree or equivalent in Childcare.

• Minimum Level 3 Qualification in Childcare. The ideal candidate would be working towards a Level 5 qualification.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a childcare setting.
• Good leadership and communication skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office
• A passion for working with children

Responsibilities

• Manage the day to day running of the nursery.
• Work closely with parents and outside agencies
• Supervise and develop the nursery team
• Creating a safe, caring and stimulating learning environment
• Recruiting and supporting new staff
• Writing reports and managing the budget
• Safeguarding and Child Protection responsibilities
