I am working
closely with a popular primary school situated in the heart of Dudley. They are
looking to recruit a Year 3 teacher to start with them at the end of January on
a full time basis to cover maternity leave.
The school has
undergone an academy conversion and continues to improve under this new remit.
It is a larger than average primary school with a high proportion of children
with EAL, as well as SEN. The staff are committed to improving current
curriculum standards and are looking for like-minded teachers.
To apply to
this role you will need the following
This Year 3
teacher position requires:
- Qualified
Teacher Status (QTS)
- Good
behaviour management
- Strong
teaching references covering the past 2 years
- A good
understanding of the KS2 Curriculum
- Experience of
working with children with EAL would be an advantage
- Ability to
work well under pressure
Responsibilities
The successful
candidate will be expected to integrate in to school life and take on the
demands of a year 3 class teacher including planning, assessment, and attending
meetings and parents evenings.
You will be
expected to plan and deliver exciting lessons which keep the children engaged.
As the school has such a diverse intake of pupils, there is a wide range of
ability levels in each class and differentiation of lessons is very important.
The pupils in
this school are eager to learn and whilst good behaviour management is
required, ensuring that lessons are creative and accessible for all is a focus
of the school.
This post is
ideally for more experienced teachers, although NQT’s with some prior
experience are welcome to apply.
