Flourish
Education are working closely with a large primary school set in the heart of
Rowley Regis who are looking for an experienced teacher to take up an
intervention teacher position. This is a full time long term role to begin
after February half term. No end date has been specified as yet, but it is
likely to run until the end of the academic year, if not beyond.
The school has
been rated as ‘Good’ by Ofsted and has recently increased its pupil numbers in
all year groups. It has a higher proportion of children with SEN than the
national average, but EAL is below the national average.
To apply to
this role you will need the following
This
intervention teacher position requires:
- Qualified
Teacher Status (QTS)
- At least 1
year of post-NQT Induction teaching
- A good
understanding of the Maths and English curriculum for both KS1 and KS2
- Excellent
behaviour management
- Ability to
work collaboratively with other teachers in the classroom
- 2 strong
professional teaching references
Responsibilities
This unique role
will involve teaching in both KS1 and KS2 so the successful applicant will need
to be flexible in their approach. The position is to teach Maths and English
booster groups to year 5 children in the morning, and year 2 children in the
afternoon. This is to help improve their attainment levels and fill any gaps in
learning.
The ideal
candidate will have an in-depth knowledge of the national curriculum as well as
good classroom and behaviour management. You will be involved in planning, but
this will be minimal. You may also be asked to cover whole classes where
required so you must be flexible and willing to do this.
Due to the
nature of the role, applications from NQT’s will unfortunately not be
considered.
The Benefits
This
intervention teacher position comes with the following benefits:
- Competitive
salary up to £175/day
- Pension
- Holiday Pay
- PAYE and
Umbrella pay options
- Free, ongoing
CPD
- The
opportunity to work with a friendly, family-run agency that values each
candidate as an individual, not just a number
All
candidates are subject to an enhanced DBS, references and Barred checks.
