Flourish Education is currently recruiting for an experienced Primary school Teacher to work in a challenging Walsall primary school in a mixed Year 1/2 class. This is a full time position, starting ASAP for the rest of the academic year. This is an incredible opportunity for you to excel and progress in your career and make a real difference.

This is a full time position, so to ensure that you are able to teach effectively your planning of lessons will be split equally with another class teacher. A strong knowledge of phonics is also essential to this role as you will be teaching Year 1 pupils. You will be surrounded by an experienced and encouraging senior leadership team.

To be considered for this role you must possess Qualified Teacher Status, team teach desirable but not essential.

 Responsibilities

As a Key Stage 1 teacher you will be expected to:

• Have a sound understanding of the KS1 curriculum
• Plan and deliver exciting and engaging lessons to meet the National Curriculum standards
• Create an inclusive learning environment, differentiating lessons to meet the needs of all the children in the class.
• Knowledge of Read, Write, Inc phonics would be advantageous as some of the children in the class still require support in this area
• Manage behaviour effectively in line with the school behaviour policy
• Utilise your class teaching assistant effectively to ensure all children make progress
