Flourish Education are working with a large 3 form entry primary academy located in Walsall. The school are looking to recruit a Key Stage 1 Phase Leader, initially the school are looking to recruit on a temporary basis, but likely to go permanent for the right individual.

 

The school is looking to recruit a strong practitioner who is fully committed to offering high-quality teaching. The successful KS1 Phase Leader will have the ability to drive, raise and maintain high standards across the Key Stage.

In this KS1 Phase Leader position you will be managing the progression of the KS1 phase and you will be monitoring effective lesson observations. You will have the benefit of the school's resources at your disposal. Strength and knowledge to lead 3 classes is essential.

The school are looking for a KS1 Phase Leader who has:

  • Proven record of being an outstanding practitioner.
  • Drive and ambition to raise standards
  • The ability to support, challenge and motive
  • High expectations and aspirations for all

 

To apply to this role you will need the following;

 

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • A recent, strong teaching reference
  • At least 2 years of work references

Experienced teacher, with previous leadership experience

  • Good behaviour management
  • Excellent KS1 curriculum knowledge
  • A positive, can-do attitude and approach

 

Responsibilities

  • In this KS1 Phase Leader position you will be working hard to support the Primary Teachers within Year 1 and Year 2.
  • You will be responsible for taking charge of the KS1 phase in order to improve the learning standards across the Key Stage.
  • Conducting learning walks, lesson observations and book scrutinies will all fall under your remit as KS1 Phase Leader.
  • Excellent CPD available across the school, your role will involve managing and allocating resources to ensure that teachers in KS1 are developing to the best of their ability.
  • Developing a comprehensive strategy to enable all teachers within your phase to develop professionally.
  • You will retain some of your teaching timetable but be given enough time to complete the management and leadership side of the KS1 Phase Leader role.
