Flourish Education are working with a Secondary School in the BlackCountry who are seeking a Head of English to join their Senior Leadership team to commence in September 2017.

The school is rated “Good” by Ofsted receiving commendation on the strengths of the Head Teacher and the support of the Senior Leadership Team.

To apply to this role you will need the following

• Qualified Teacher Status
• Experience in managing a department
• Experience of the English curriculum
• Provide proof of when you have improved a year groups grade for their English GSCE results
• References to cover the last 2 years of employment as a teacher

Responsibilities

As a successful Head of English you will be expected to:

• Managing Pastoral responsibilities of staff and students
• Working in close partnership with other members of the SLT
• Provide mentoring to NQT’s
• Improving the exam pass rates of students
